Turina

Our family has been in wine for 4 generations.

In the 1920s Luigi Turina supplied the taverns around Lake Garda by delivering demijohns of local wine in his horse-drawn cart. A quarter century later Gaudenzio and Angelo Turina, just twenty years old, rented concrete tanks from farmers in the area and began turning their grapes into wine, beginning their adventure as β€œindependent winemakers.” At the end of the 1980s, Gaudenzio’s sons Luigi, Paolo and Dario joined the company. Today, production is guided by the fourth generation of Turinas, Matteo, Andrea (Paolo’s sons) and Marco (Luigi’s son). The new generation retains the passion for the traditions and the terroir of Lake Garda that inspire our wines. On 21 hectares, divided between ValtΓ¨nesi and Lugana, the Turinas produce award winning regional wines in the true Gardesana style.

From the oldest vineyard located in the hearth of ValtΓ¨nesi, borns our β€œSeselle”, a red wine with a good structure and rare balance, soft and rightly tannic that tells us the story of ValtΓ¨nesi β€œin red”. After a maceration process of the must of approximately 14 days, the separation from the peels takes place through soft pressing by an automatic press. The new wine may thus continue its fermentation by controlled temperature and selected yeasts. The product obtained is a wine of intense and complex aroma and taste, which requires an aging and refinement period of at least one year. Perfect for the most important dishes of red meat, but also aged cheeses and cold cuts. It lends itself to a noteworthy aging

Excellence of our production and our winegrowing area. The wine-making of this wine was born more than 100 years ago, by a hunch of Pompeo Molmenti. The process includes a short maceration peel/must (over one night), and a soft pressing, which leaves to the wine its distinctive rose-colored trait.
