I Sodi

I Sodi is situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico among wooded hills halfway between the village of Monti and the Castle of Brolio about 15 miles from Siena. I Sodi was purchased in 1973 by the Casini family. After much thought, Ivo Casini, a proud connoisseur of the area and all its peculiarities, purchased I Sodi from the Archbishop's Curia of Arezzo. The choice of this location turned out to be very fortuitous, given its perfect exposure to the sun, with the vineyards sun-kissed from dawn to dusk. With gently rolling hills, the land enjoys an ideal micro-climate for grapes. Ivo’s three sons Giancarlo, Danilo, and Franco, are the current owners. The dedication to craftmanship passed through generations of Casinis has resulted in award-winning wines and exceptional olive oils
